How the Central Egyptian Al-Birr Wal-Taqwa Association handles your data.

What we collect

  • When you donate, create an account or request a collector: your name, mobile number, email (if given), address and governorate (for collector requests), and the donation details (amount, type, project and date).
  • When you message our pages on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp: your public profile name and picture on that platform and the messages and attachments you send us.
  • When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address only.

How we use it

  • To record and confirm donations and to produce the financial and regulatory reports the association is legally required to keep.
  • To answer your messages, questions and collector requests.
  • To send the newsletter to subscribers only; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Online payments

  • Card and wallet payments are processed by a licensed payment gateway. The association never sees or stores your card number or PIN; we only receive the result and reference of the transaction.

Social media messages

  • Messages you send to the association's pages on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp are delivered to an internal inbox on the association's servers so our team can reply from one place. They are used only to reply to you and follow up on your request.

Sharing

  • We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the service (such as the payment gateway and hosting), or when required by law or a competent regulator.

Retention

  • Donation records are kept for as long as the law requires for charities’ financial records. Messages and contact details are kept while there is an ongoing interaction, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Request deletion of your data

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, including data we received through Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp.

Send us a request using the contact details below with your name and mobile number or your account name on the platform. We will confirm receipt and complete it within 30 days, except for financial records we are legally required to keep.
