Water & Wells
A water purification station well
A full purification station on a 100-metre well that gives two or three villages safe drinking water, funded in shares.
Two station sizes
- 10-metre station: 10,000 litres, serving about 3,300 people (two villages) — share EGP 12,500, full cost EGP 750,000
- 15-metre station: 15,000 litres, serving about 4,500 people (three villages) — share EGP 15,000, full cost EGP 900,000
What the station includes
- A 100-metre well and a 5×5 m room, 3 m high, marble outside and tiles inside, with a guard.
- 14 to 20 taps for daily use.
- Full treatment: chlorine pre-disinfection, an RO unit to bring salts to safe levels, then UV sterilisation.
- A lab certificate that the water is fit for drinking, and free maintenance for the first year.
- Each full share gets a 40×40 cm plaque with three full names.
- Work takes about 3 months once all 60 shares are complete.
